Kanoa’s Ye Lynn Ha battles for the possession during a U14 girls division game of the TakeCare Youth Soccer League Fall 2023 at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.
KANOA and Southern United football clubs each bagged their ninth win in the U14 girls division of the TakeCare Youth Soccer League Fall 2023 on Saturday at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.
Kanoa eased their way past Latte, 7-1.
Kanoa quickly filled the first half with goals. The action started at the 6th minute mark with Beatrice Gross drawing first blood followed by teammate Aubrey White’s goal at the 14th minute mark. Gross then completed the hat-trick with two more goals to give the Kanoa a comfortable lead, 4-0.
Before ending the first half, Latte broke their silence thanks to Kaye Ann Costales who slipped in a goal at the 20th minute mark to reduce the deficit, 1-4. Unfortunately, that was the end of their highlight reel as they failed to score for the rest of the second half.
Kanoa, for their part, picked up where they left off with three more goals — two from Ye Lynn Ha and one from White — to secure the win, 7-1.
Southern United vs Shirley’s
The Southern United Football Club triumphed against Shirley’s, 7-1.
Shirley’s opened up the scoreboard with a quick shot by Alisa Borlanio, but Southern United gradually worked their way to snatch control with three goals contributed by Jadine Higgins, Rosie Saralu, and Brianne Echalico.
Shirley’s had no answer throughout the second half while Southern United continued their reign with four more goals thanks to Selena Atalig, Echalico, and Higgins to seal the deal 7-1.
