(KHS) — On Thursday, Oct. 19, 2023, the Kagman High Ayuyu Battalion  teamed up with the cadets of Marianas High School and Saipan Southern High School, as well as community volunteers, for a memorable event at San Vicente Children’s Park, promoting domestic violence awareness through the “Rock and Roll” campaign.

The park came alive as cadets from all three schools gathered, displaying colorful banners, and engaging with the community to garner support for this vital cause. Their enthusiasm was infectious, persuading passersby to join the effort and make a positive impact.

The spirited cadets, still waving their vibrant banners, embarked on a march around the area, chanting uplifting messages. Their unity and determination were both a sight to behold and a testament to the power of individuals coming together for a common purpose.

The “Domestic Awareness Rock and Roll” event was not just a demonstration of solidarity among these cadet units but a powerful reminder of the importance of community involvement and support for those affected by domestic challenges. It was a day of inspiration, showcasing the potential for positive change when our youth lead the way. The event was a major success and inspiration to the community.

C/CPT Pangelinan, Jayden from KHS said, “The event was such a great way of showing how strong our community is. It reflected on how much support and love we all have for each other. I believe that seeing our people come together for such a sensitive cause is just heartwarming. I am so thankful I got to be a part of the greater cause.”

C/CPT Atalig, Travannie from KHS said, “The event was great! It was nice to see our community come and support a noble cause which was to support the victims of domestic abuse. As we got together, it was amazing to see all the different citizens support one another through our differences. This is a great example of community support from all the JROTC cadets.”
