HAGÅTÑA (The Guam Daily Post) — Triple J Auto Group recently announced in a news release that its 5K and 10K Bubble Color Run is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 18, starting at the dealership’s main location in Upper Tumon in front of Kmart.
The race will begin at 6 a.m. for 5K runners and at 5:45 a.m. for 10K runners. Interested runners may register now.
According to the release, all participants will face north on Marine Corps Drive, proceed north on Route 1, and pass Iipog Street, Saint John Street, Tumon Lane and Carlos Heights Street.
The 10K runners will continue on Army Drive until they reach the Micronesia Mall intersection, while the 5K runners will turn around near American Medical Center and Goody’s Sporting Goods.
10K runners will then travel south on Army Drive, veer off onto E. Taitano Road, and then turn around to return to Army Drive. From there, runners will make a right turn onto Army Drive and head south toward the turnaround next to NAPA and The Dungeon.
All runners will then proceed back to the dealership.
According to the release, early registration is highly recommended as the initial 1,000 participants will be issued a specially designed 5K race shirt.
Sanctuary, Guam Cancer Care, Safe Haven and Bake Their Day Guam will benefit from this year’s race.
United Airlines will be providing round-trip airfare as the top raffle prize, a choice between Guam and Micronesia, Manila, Palau and Japan.
In addition to raffle prizes and activities for attendees, Outback and Triple J Five Star will also be providing complimentary food and drinks.
According to the release, this year’s race has been officially authorized and endorsed by the Guam Running Club.
Interested participants can register at Triple J Motors in front of Kmart, Triple J Honda near Tamuning McDonald’s, or at Goody’s Sporting Goods in Upper Tumon.
