TINIAN and Rota volleyball players were on Saipan to participate in the girls high school division of the NMIVA-PSS Interscholastic Volleyball League SY23-24 on Friday and Saturday at the Marianas High School gym.
Tinian brought along two teams.
Tinian 1, which notched four victories, consisted of Abbygaile Ong, Karisse Ong, Clarize Rodriguez, Bernadette Fleming, Yeong Chae Yoon, Julia Medicielo, Dennise Miguel, RchieLagunay, Mary Keziah Gomez, Kyra Adriano, Sophia Su, and Jazmine Furton.
Tinian 1’s first victory was against Kagman High School on Friday.
Tinian 1 showcased their teamwork and communication as they pulled a late-game rally to triumph, 25-19.
They then earned their second victory against Marianas High School, 28-26.
On Saturday, Tinian 1 defeated Saipan International School, 25-15, and outlasted Mount Carmel School, 25-20.
Rota’s Dr. Rita H. Inos Jr./Sr. High School second team also bagged four wins: against MCS II, 25-17; MHS III, 27-25; SIS II, 25-22; and SSHS II, 25-13.
For their part, RHI I won against Saipan Southern High School, 25-23.
