ON Sept. 16, 2023, the Lions Clubs International, Zone 1 Region 2, District 204 inducted new members and installed new officers as well as Region 2 Cabinet officers and committees for the Lion Year 2023-2024 at Kensington Hotel.
Lions officials, including from Guam, graced the event: District Governor Blanca Imbo, Global Membership Team Coordinator Romy Angel, District Global Family & Women’s Specialist Chair Fely Angel, and Past District Governor Atoy Banting of Saipan.
The Zone 1 joint event featured Saipan Fil-American Lions Club with their president Socorro Huliganga; Saipan Centennial Lions Club led by their president Alexander Escober; and Saipan Infinity Lions Club headed by their president Michael Guirey.
The guest speaker was CNMI Speaker Edmund S. Villagomez, who thanked the Lions for their community services.
The new members who were inducted: Zyron Castillo, Daisy Javillonar, Malou Mendoza, Gladys Angeles, Reynhard Rens Belo, Rica Dela Pena, Angelie Gonzales, Jhoy Revilla and Karen Reyes.
There are 12 Lions clubs in the CNMI. Zone 1 Chair Arceli Lizama expressed appreciation for the support of fellow Lions, family members, and friends.
