According to Overseas Workers Welfare Administration officer in charge Leonor C. Mabagal, there are 30 slots open.
“This is a college level class and the classes will run for eight sessions,” Mabagal said. The classes are scheduled from 2 to 5 p.m. on Aug. 2 and on the succeeding Saturdays.
Mabagal said the instructors are Fe Calixterio, the former adult education director of Northern Marianas College, and Jaime Vergara, a San Vicente Elementary School teacher.
According to Mabagal, 22 Filipino workers enrolled in the “Communicating in the Workplace” class will be graduating tomorrow.
Their instructor is Loyola University’s Haidee V. Eugenio.
“There were only four sessions for the Communicating in the Workplace class for the high school level,” Mabagal said.
She added that if the graduates from the class are qualified, they can join the Basic English class on Aug. 9.
Mabagal is encouraging interested Filipino workers to register because enrollment is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
