Department of Public Safety spokeswoman Lei Ogumoro said DPS received a call for assistance at 6:41 p.m. on Saturday regarding the robbery incident at Charlie Glory Market in Chalan Kanoa District#2.
Ogumoro said police were immediately dispatched to the store where the responding patrol officer observed a bruise on the right arm of the cashier.
She told police that she was seated behind the cashier’s counter when two masked men armed with machetes came running into the store.
One of the robbers stuck her arm with the blunt side of a machete when she attempted to push the alarm button.
Ogumoro said two perpetrators were able to cut the line of the cash register and flee from the scene with it.
Investigation is still ongoing.
