On Friday night, the Sazanka Strings Ensemble wowed the audience with their chosen melodies.The concert begun with the ensemble’s rendition of “It’s a small world” followed by “Twinkle Twinkle, Little Star.”The young violinists who were part of the ensemble are hoping that they will also serve as an inspiration to young kids in Palau.The audience was also able to participate in the “Let’s challenge a conductor” part of the event.In this part of the concert, kids were also able to play the conductor to the audience’s delight.Another favorite piece during the concert was the performance of the Do-Re-Mi where two of the young violinists sang with the ensemble.The ensemble ended with a Japanese Folk song “Toryanse.” The ensemble also shared Japanese culture in the performance as they played three Japanese folk songs.This is the first time that the group performed in Palau and the group is studying under Mrs. Yuko Ito and Ms. Sakurako Ito.The group said it has been their long time dream to perform abroad.The Japan-based performers are hoping to once again share their music to Palau in the future.
