Rangers beat Rock Steady in Game 3

After advancing to the first base on base-on-ball, Ben Benwachi scored a run on passed ball, tying the game in the eight inning before the power went out at 6:30 p.m., Sunday.

Starting in the ninth inning yesterday, Kelvin Kapileo held the Rock Steady scoreless striking out Eric Lizama and allowed Luis Iguel to hit.

Mel Sakisat hit an RBI scoring Mario Sablan in the top of the ninth inning.

Banzil who finished 2-for-5 singled Iguel home.

Iguel who went 3-for-6 hit two RBIs allowing JJ Laniyo and JP Sablan to score the decisive runs and take the lead in the top of the 10th inning.

JP Sablan went 4-for-5 and scored three runs.

Kelvin Kapileo who was not allowed to play in Game 2 resulting to their loss and allowed the Rock Steady to tie the standing, pitched seven strong inning before he was replaced by Mel Sakisat in the eighth inning.

Kapileo struck out four and gave up eight hits. He walked three and allowed four runs.

Sakisat struck out only one and allowed three hits and walked one.

The Rock Steady at-bat in the bottom of the eight, the game ended when third baseman, Pete Tomokane catched Vinnie Sablan’s solid land drive.

The SML’s Game 4 was held right after the Game three yesterday for a double-header.
