The resident, who refused to be identified, said Koblerville had no power and water services starting at 3 a.m. yesterday.
The 33-year-old resident, a former government employee, said they have been experiencing three to four hours of power outages in the past several days.
Koblerville endures three power outages each day.
The power situation in Koblerville has gone worse, the resident said.
He said the federal government should step in and help CUC deal with the island’s power crisis.
The resident said he tried calling CUC several times to inquire about the duration of the blackout, but he did not get an answer.
CUC’s phone line kept ringing without anyone answering the call, he added.
According to the resident, his family has been having difficulty cooking their food and taking a shower because their water service was also interrupted by the lack of power in the area.
The resident said his water tank is now empty and he has to buy drinking water to prepare their food.
Sometimes, he added, he uses rainwater so he can take a shower.
He is worried that when classes open next month, his four children will also be affected.
Koblerville is under Kiya 2 grid which also covers As Lito, As Gonno, San Antonio, Afetnas, and other areas.
