The visit will be from Sept. 15 to 20 and Commander Yvette Davids and a crew of 115 are looking forward to the visit and plan to enjoy the unique beauty of Palau.
The USS CURTS was the first Pacific Fleet unit with a complete anti-submarine warfare suite.The vessel has participated in a number of operations including Operation Desert Storm and has conducted joint training exercises with navies from Australia, Japan, and Korea.The CURTS is part of the 7th Fleet, the largest of the forward-deployed U.S. Fleets.The USS CURTS was commissioned on October 8, 1983 and homeported in San Diego, California.The length of the vessel is 453 feet, with a beam of 45 feet and a draft of 24.6 feet.
