Visiting Taiwan legislators left Palau

Dr. Wen-Chi Kung, Dr. Kou-Tung Liao and Tung-Ming Chien departed Palau at 1:45 a.m. yesterday and will be heading to Guam.

After Guam, the lawmakers will go to Marshal Island.The lawmakers arrived here on Friday morning and were welcomed by Palau officials.They visited the Senate and the House of Delegates on Friday and met their counterparts  Here.The lawmakers from Taiwan exchanged valued opinions with the members of the Senate and the House of Delegates for 50 minutes.The Taiwan lawmakers were here to strengthen the friendship and mutual understanding between Taiwan and Palau in terms of Austronesian culture, democratic consolidation and tourism.Kung, Liao and Chien are members of Taiwan –Austronesian Parliament Friendship Association and the first visiting group from Taiwan Congress.
