In a memorandum dated Sept. 5, Fitial said he is delegating the authority to San Nicolas from Sept. 6 to 13, as DPS Commissioner Santiago F. Tudela will be attending the Annual Governors Highway Safety Association meeting in Scottsdale, Arizona.
“I am delegating Capt. San Nicolas as acting commissioner until DPS Commissioner Tudela returns,” Fitial said.
“Please extend your full cooperation and assistance to Capt. San Nicolas as she assumes these additional responsibilities,” the governor said.
