Daewoo prepares CR for new paint

Workers have been seen on the CR since earlier this month stripping all of the old and cracked paint.

In an earlier phone interview with Haninie Casiquin, Daewoo Office Engineer, the removal of the old and cracked paint is expected to be completed at the end of this month.Daewoo has subcontracted the paint removal work.  Casiquin had said that once all of the paint is removed, the road markings will be repainted.Workers are now water blasting the sections of the road that has been stripped of paint and preparing the them for paint. “We expect that all of the CR road markings to be fully repainted by the end of October,” Casiquin had said.Daewoo workers, however,  not completed all of the stripping of road-marking paint.“The stripping of the paint is the hard part,” said a worker. “Repainting the lines on the road is the easy part and should be done in no time.”The workers had indicated that rain will dictate how fast the painting will progress.  They further added if it remains sunny, painting of the road could be completed in half the time it took to strip the road of the old paint.
