Palau hospital gets new incinerator, garbage trucks

The donor, the  NPO South Sea Community Association of Japan, also donated garbage trucks for the use of the Ministry of Health.

The incinerator costs about $1.5 million.The group’s leader, Yuji Namekawa, said they support a healthy and clean environment in Palau.The group has been actively involved in various volunteer projects here over the past 30 years, and has been donating fireworks for Palau’s annual Independence Day celebrations.This year, however, Namekawa said instead of donating fireworks they decided to  create a scholarship fund for Palau Community College and donate an  incinerator and garbage trucks to the local government.
