Matt Araki, the hotel’s executive assistant manager, said they received only one complaint from one resident regarding the noise and air emission emanated from the generators.
The Hyatt management is now working with its construction company to resolve the problem, Araki told Variety.
Division of Environmental Quality Director Frank M. Rabauliman has asked the Commonwealth Utilities Corp. to address the problem and look into the possibility of reconnecting the staff housing facility to CUC’s power grid.
Araki said they have followed all requirements and secured the needed permits for the operation of the generating power unit.
“We submitted our application through our contractors. We are now working with DEQ and other government authorities to resolve this issue,” he said.
