CCA Sharks beat WPS Terns in two sets in the Middle School level, 25-18, 12-25, 17-15.
The schools fought under intense heat to continue on what they have left off in their last game, which was marred by heavy rains. Hence, their game was cancelled.
From what they left off, Sharks nipped every possibility of Terns claiming the first set with their long returns.
Sharks seemed to have lost momentum during the second set when they got entangled in miscalculated shots on Terns’ side of the court.
Several forced errors and failed service allowed for Terns to claim the second set.
During the third set, Sharks tried to step up on their volleys, but missed several serves in the process.
Terns committed some errors in their service as well, allowing Sharks to bounce up by fashioning a series of successful shots that paved the way for their sixth win in the COPSSA tournament.
CCA Sharks now carry a 6-2 win-lose card. They have lost to Grace Christian Academy and Saipan International School (Green) in past matches.
In another match under the Middle School level, WPS Terns beat Mount Carmel School Knights 25-16, 25-21.

It was an uphill climb for WPS Terns during the first set but the Navy Hill spikers were able to charge up by unleashing some good serves.
MCS Knights tried their best to grab a hold of the second set but somehow experienced difficulty in returning volleys and maintaining good service.
Frank Villagomez of Knights, at one point, tried to block some shots by Terns but some of these shots were high enough for him to prevent the ball from falling on their court.
Another Knights player, Gary Santos, made an ace during the second set to tie the score with Terns at 16 points.
Unfortunately, Santos was not able to repeat this move in the succeeding moments.
Several errors from MCS Knights allowed for WPS Terns to turn the table around on their favor.
WPS Terns now hold an identical win-loss card with CCA.
