As of October 8, Suns hold a 2-4 win-loss card, while Sixers remain one of two teams in the league without a single loss.
Sixers hold a 6-0 win-loss ticket, as Jr. Nationals pocket a 5-0 win-loss card.
Sixers’ Ernest Duenas scattered himself in the court, helping out in the defense and offense of his team. In the end, his hard work paid off with him gathering a total of 15 points – enough to allow Sixers remain on top of the Rotary caging league team standings.
Like his usual self in the hardcourt, Duenas smashed through Suns defensive line despite intense opposition.
However, he came off with the needed baskets on crucial juncture of the game.
Duenas was the only player who scored double digit among cagers of both teams.
At the beginning of the story, Duenas was the second Sixers who fired a two-pointer. He was also second person to score for his team as teammate Joe Ada sealed the game.
Should Suns won, they could have inched a notch higher, and tie with Kontenders who got a 3-4 win-loss card.
Suns seemed to have lost energy in the game with Sixers hence they paid for the six-point deficit at the end of the second quarter.
Suns still has one more make up game left today, and it will be with Sonics.
Sonics used to be on top of the team standings when they got penalized with five game forfeits due to an overage player in their roster.
Sonics is at the second from the bottom of the team rankings.
