Rollers I diffuse Kagman Suns in Game 3 of the Rotary youth caging league playoff

When it comes to fastbreaks, steals, and medium range shots, Rollers I can do what other teams can.

And these strategies have been witnessed by spectators at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium when they routed the Kagman cagers, 65-51, in Game 3 of the Rotary playoff series.

Rollers I’s Don Teregeyo and Manny Matagolai tried to be as cool as he can be at the hard court despite the hot reception given by Rollers 1.

In fact, all eight players who were present at the bench of Suns scored on the board for the team, as if trying to send a message to Rollers I that they will get burned in the process of clinching a victory.

Rollers I felt the heat coming out of Suns’ offense in the first quarter, making sure the period ends in a tie – 32 all.

Rollers I got the message from their opponent, so they hushed up their strategy with Matagolai firing a three-pointer behind the arc in the early minutes of the second quarter.

Teregeyo followed suit with his own three-pointer in the middle of the quarter to prevent a big damage by Suns.

At that point the scoreboard says 44-42, in favor of Suns.

Suns’ Toby Fleming helped push the team to 53 point-total, but the Kagman squad seemed to have lost fire as they go down the court for some baskets.

While Suns’ heat got snuffed out upon reaching 53 points, Rollers I continued their barrage of shots inside the perimeter, pouring in two-pointers and single baskets via free throws attempts.

Rollers I are scheduled to play against Sixers tomorrow at 7 p.m. at the Ada Gym.

Earlier, Sixers beat Saints with a score of 63-56.
