Vote for integrity, economic agenda not popularity, blood ties

Integrity and economic agenda are the most important things that voters should consider, according to independent candidates John Oliver DLR. Gonzales and Sen. Luis P. Crisostimo.

Gonzales said voters should not be carried away by the popularity of a candidate.

Voters, he added, should also not be deceived by the qualifications or experience of a candidate.

This historic election is no longer about qualification nor popularity but integrity and honesty, Gonzales said.

He said he believes the voters will consider his candidacy because they know he is a down-to-earth family man. He said he is the candidate who embodies respect and humility.

A no-nonsense leadership, he added, is what the people are looking for and not traditional politicians who rely on connections.

In a separate interview, Crisostimo said although he belongs to a family that is as big as the other candidates’, he believes voters should not make decision based on blood ties.

Voters, he said, should look at the economic agenda of each candidate.

This economic agenda, he added, should have been formulated from the people’s perspective.

He said he always put himself in the shoes of the people directly affected by the current crisis, and that’s why he understands how they feel about the economy.

In trying to come up with solutions, Crisostimo said one should fully understand the problem first.
