Palacios’s winning ticket number was 1032.
First prize went to ticket number 1518 holder Leslie F. Rodriguez who won a business class round trip ticket for two to the U.S. from Northwest Airlines, and two therapeutic aroma treatments from Tropical Blend Spa.
The second prize winner was ticket number 0495 holder S. Cruz who won $10,000 in cash.
Third prize went to ticket number 0523 holder Jeanne Rayphand who won $5,000 cash.
Aside from the top prizes, 36 other winners received gift certificates for hotel accommodations, restaurant vouchers, spa treatments, furniture, and other attractive prizes.
“This is really a fantastic event. The turnout of participants is outstanding and everybody is having a good time. Even the weather cooperated,” American Red Cross NMI chapter executive director John Hirsh told the Variety.
“This is a night where you can see people relax and enjoy under their masks and costumes,” he said.
The Halloween Ball turned the hotel gardens into one “spooky” park with a haunted house as its entrance. A five-minute display of fireworks highlighted the festivities.
Prizes also went to deserving guests for wearing the “scariest” costumes.
This year’s Halloween Ball marked the 20th anniversary of the Club 200 and the 30th anniversary of the NMI Red Cross chapter.
Entertaining the guests for the night were a band from Hawaii that featured Willie K. and local bands like the Big Beats and the PIC Club musicians.
The American Red Cross also gave out tokens of appreciation to its generous sponsors.
