COMMUNITY volunteer Max Aguon and his three grandchildren collected trash in the Coral Ocean Resort beach area in Koblerville on Saturday.

Aguon said he wanted to show his grandchildren how important it is to keep our environment clean and beautiful.

“People continue to throw their household trash in this area,” Aguon added.

His three grandchildren are Kiana, Damien, and Haylie. They were also accompanied by their mother, Maureen Aguon.

Max Aguon expressed his appreciation to those who continue to support his cleanup activities.

For supporting his advocacy for a clean and healthy environment, he thanked U.S. Congressman Gregorio Kilili Camacho Sablan, Rep. John Paul Sablan, Rep. Ed Propst and former Rep. Tina Sablan.

Max Aguon is also grateful to DPA Car Mart in San Antonio for donating a pick-up truck that he uses for his cleanup activities; and  to JEMCO Ltd., which operates the CMG San Jose Mobil Gas Station, for providing him a monthly $100 gasoline allowance.

Aguon has received many commendations and awards for  cleaning up tourist sites on Saipan.
