THE CNMI Women’s Association is inviting women to participate in the 9th Annual Women’s Summit this Friday, March 31, 2023, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the multi-purpose center.
With the theme “Wellness,” which stands for Women Entrepreneurs Leading Life and Nourishing Economic Sustainable Solutions, the summit will highlight culture, health, economy, and peace.
“I would like to invite and encourage all our women in our community to take this opportunity to get important information from key speakers who represent different categories that impact a woman’s life,” CWA President Cecilia Taitano-Fitial said.
She said the CNMI has a lot of strong women in politics, government, business, and households.
“Women are powerful,” she added. “We have the ability to preserve our culture, promote a healthy lifestyle, achieve financial freedom and even fight for our rights. This summit is a place to interact with each other and just be motivated and empowered.”
For Valentina Rivera, CWA project director, the summit “is an opportunity for women to be empowered by listening to past experiences and the stories of other successful women.”
She said, through the summit, women can also create and build their professional network.
“It is an avenue for women to be connected with each other,” she added. “If you’re a woman entrepreneur and you want to be connected and start building relationships, this is the place to go.”
As of Tuesday, March 28, there were eight registered vendors who will showcase their products and services during the summit. Vendor registration is still open to interested businesses.
Free lunch will be served during the summit which will feature several activities such as an interactive workshop, keynote speeches, information on how to start a business, and product displays.
“If you have a business or you are starting one, this is the place to get support and showcase your products,” Rivera said.
