JOE I. Sablan shot a 7-under par 65 to win the Saipan Golfers Association’s March Ace of the Month Tournament on March 26 at Coral Ocean Point Golf Course.
With his 24 handicap, Sablan, who shot 46 on the front nine and 43 on the back for a gross of 89, notched a net score of 65. He now joins the list of SGA’s 2023 Ace of Aces which includes Ray Salas (January) and Das Krishnan (February).
Finishing second was Rene Batallones who shot 41 on the front nine and 46 on the back for a gross of 87, and a net of 71.
Tony Deleon Guerrero came in third with a 46 on the front, 44 on the back for a 90 gross and 72 net.
Jung Eun Teack was closest to the pin on Hole Nos. 3 and 14; Patrick Cepeda ruled Hole No. 7; and Deleon Guerrero reigned on Hole No. 12.
Battalones, for his part, had the longest drive on Hole No. 6 while Lorenzo Deleon Guerrero claimed Hole No. 18.
The SGA will holds its April Ace of the Month Tournament on April 16, 2023 at Laolao Bay Golf & Resort’s east course. Show time is 8:30 a.m. and tee time is 9 a.m.
