Rockson Cabrera leads the round 2 race of the Peewee ATV Class at Cow Town Raceway Park on Sunday.
The Mini ATV Class racers battle for the lead during round 2 of the MRA Points Race Series at Cow Town Raceway Park on Sunday.
ROCKSON and older brother Kimason Cabrera took the spotlight in round 2 of the 2023 Marianas Racing Association Points Race Series after topping their respective classes at Cow Town Raceway Park on Sunday.
In the Peewee ATV Class, Rockson Cabrera faced Nokoa Torres, the previous round’s top racer.
During all four laps of both heats, Rockson Cabrera led the course and nearly overlapped his opponent as well as the extra two-wheel participant who joined the race but was not included in the list of results.
In the end, Rockson Cabrera notched both heats in first place to garner 50 points while Nakoa Torres came in second with 44 points.
Mini ATV Class
In the Mini ATV Class, Keoni Rosario initially led the pack by a good distance. But in the third lap, his four-wheel machine suddenly stopped working which allowed Kimason Cabrera to take over, finishing heat 1 in first place.
In the second heat of the five-lap race, Anella Igitol — who did not finish heat 1 due to engine problem — clinched first place. Rosario also redeemed himself by coming in second while Kimason Cabrera ended in third place.
However, Kimason Cabrera’s first-place finish in heat 1 gave him the top spot with a total of 45 points followed by Rosario in second with 44 points and Igitol in third with 25 points while Franchesa Yumul came in fourth with 20 points.
Mini I Class
As for the two-wheel races, Elleayah Cruz was the solo performer in the Mini I Class.
In the Mini II Class, Billie Pangelinan reigned supreme once again with another 50-point finish followed by TJ Ferrer who beat Nanako Celis in a tiebreaker. Both had 42 points.
Calix Cruz was fourth with 36 points while Carter Castro was fifth with 32 points.
