Pangelinan, Palacios, Igitol rule round 1 of motocross race series

BILLIE Pangelinan, who reigned in the Power Puff Class last year, continues to prove her worth as she claimed the top spot of the Mini II Class in round 1 of the 2023 Marianas Racing Association Points Race Series at Cow Town Raceway Park on Sunday.

Her speed was unmatched as she cleared the six-lap race in both heats to secure the top spot with a perfect 50-point record.

In second place was Nanako Celis who shadowed Pangelinan throughout both heats to finish with 42 points.

TJ Ferrer came in third with 40 points while Carter Castro clinched fourth by finishing ahead of Calix Cruz in heat 2 to break their tie. Both had 34 points.

MAMAs

In the newly added MAMA Class, Maribel Igitol completed the six-lap race in first place with 50 points followed by Mari Alvarez in second place with 44 points, Merissa Rasa in third with 40 points and Marlyn Castro in fourth with 36 points. 

Novice Class

Joining the list of winners is Vicente Palacios who bagged the top spot in the Novice Class with 50 points to beat Christian Camacho who came in second with 44 points, Ponce Rasa in third with 40 points, Frankie Sablan in fourth with 36 points and Charles Cepeda in fifth with 16 points.

Peewee/ATV Mini

Among the young riders, Nakoa Torres, Bentley Koshiro and Kassidy Camacho each earned 50 points in the Peewee ATV, Peewee I and ATV Mini classes, respectively.
