BLUE Haus will face JSN Construction in the masters division finals of the Legends Sports Association Invitational Basketball League after outshooting Vizion Insurance, 108-99, during their semifinal game Sunday at the Koblerville gym.
Blue Haus had a tough time finding their chemistry at first as it was Vizion that led during the first five minutes of the first quarter.
Vizion’s Jerry Tolentino scored the first bucket while back-to-back triples were delivered by team mates Dindo Pablo and Arnold Sanguyo.
But Blue Haus gradually closed in as their inside game proved superior with Elmer Esdrelon scoring six points while feeding team mate Bruce Berline inside for four points. Jun Estolas added four more points of his own to give Blue Hauz the lead, 26-20.
Blue Haus rode the momentum into the second canto, but this time it was Moreno Martin who took over the spotlight, delivering 12 points to push a double-digit lead, 52-41.
In the third quarter Vizion started to cook up a rally with Tolentino suddenly finding his range from beyond the arc and sinking three consecutive triples. Team mates Mike Surima and Rodney Catalla also added a three-pointer each to bring them back in the game, 70-76
Vizion, however, failed to deliver in the final quarter even as Blue Haus’s Esdrelon and Junar Guiab stepped up and took over on offense with 15 and 14 points, respectively, en route to victory, 108-99.
