SIS faces ACS in badminton finale

SAIPAN International School and Agape Christian School will vie for the middle school division title of the TakeCare Interscholastic Badminton League at the TSL Sports Complex.

During the final week of the regular season, SIS collected a total of 75 points to top its bracket. SIS defeated Dr. Rita Hocog Inos Jr.-Sr. High School, Saipan Community School, Tanapag Middle School, Mount Carmel School and Hopwood Middle School 2 in the boys and girls singles, doubles and mixed events.

TMS clinched second place with 51 points followed by HMS 2 with 49 and SCS with 35. RHI and MCS had zero points.

Agape Christian School also topped its bracket with 67 points. ACS swept Tinian, Dandan Middle School, and Chacha Oceanview Middle School while  losing one set in the girls and mixed doubles against HMS 1. ACS also lost the girls singles and doubles matches to Francisco M. Sablan Middle School.

Starting at 8:30 a.m. this Saturday at the TSL Sports Complex,  SIS and ACS will play for the championship while FMS will go head-to-head against TSM for third place.
