SAN Vicente bagged their second win by defeating San Antonio, 38-28, in the women’s division of the 2022 Marianas Village Pride Basketball League Sunday at the TSL Sports Complex.
San Antonio played well in the first half of the game while San Vicente was led by Destiny Pangelinan and Angellyn Roligat. Pangelinan attacked from afar with four triples while Roligat worked underneath the rim to score four points.
San Antonio fought back with Mia Abuan sinking back-to-back buckets while team mates Kaithlyn Chavez, Chealzka Navarro, Aaleyah Fatialofa and Venice Enriquez delivered two points each. Center Azrie Fatialofa then took over with three consecutive offensive finishes at the rim to put San Antonio ahead, 19-18.
They fell apart, however, during the second half.
