THE Marianas Agupa radio talk show has invited the candidates for attorney general to a virtual forum on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
This election year will be the third time we elect our attorney general and it is important to feature those who are seeking this important public office so that our voters will be aware of who can make a positive impact on the enforcement and interpretation of our Commonwealth laws.
The language will be either in Chamorro or English and the order to respond to a question shall be based on the candidate’s number on the ballot.
Each of the candidate shall be given up to five minutes for an opening statement.
The candidates will be asked the following questions:
• How are you going to make a positive impact on the enforcement and interpretation of our Commonwealth laws?
• How are you going to address issues regarding prosecution of government conflict of interest, fraudulent acts by elected officials?
• How are you going to advocate for consumer protection, including protecting consumers from the rising cost of electricity and gas?
• What is your stance on criminal justice reform?
Each candidates shall be given up to three minutes for a closing statement.
A rebuttal during the Q&A segment is allowed but not mandatory. All the questions will be asked and moderated by the host, Glenn H. Manglona.
