KISS My Ace celebrated twice as hard on Saturday as they triumphed over the Heatwave Hitters and the Geckos in the women’s division of the 4 Starz Marianas Club’s 2nd Annual Fall Fest Volleyball Tournament 2025 at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium.
Kiss My Ace was an unstoppable force throughout the night, first defeating the Heatwave Hitters in two sets.
Team chemistry proved to be their biggest asset, as players worked together to bump, set, and spike their way through the match. Led by team captain Cecile Guevarra, she set up teammates Beatrice Fabre, Alyssa Velasco, and Cassey Babauta with clean sets, while the rest of the team contributed with tips, spikes, and early bump returns to easily claim the first set, 25-16.
In the second set, the Heatwave Hitters made a comeback attempt. Although filled with high school freshmen, the team showed big hearts, with Beatrice Gross, Faith Arriola, and Aaleyah Fatialofa fighting back with diving saves, bumps, and spikes to earn points.
However, unforced errors and miscommunication kept the Heatwave Hitters behind. Kiss My Ace capitalized with powerful spikes and precision returns, eventually securing the second set to take the game, 25-18.
The streak continued as Kiss My Ace faced the Geckos in a second game, winning in straight sets, 25-15 and 25-16. This strong showing makes Kiss My Ace a team to watch this season, finishing the day with two impressive victories.
In the men’s division, 4-Starz dominated Angry Penne in straight sets, 25-15 and 25-13. Hammahz also joined the celebration, defeating the Bikini Bangers in a closer contest, but still closing out the match in two sets, 25-20 and 25-23.
