BILLIE Pangelinan and Stanley Iakopo Jr. are looking to secure the coveted “red plate” trophy after pulling yet another 50-point performance in their respective classes in the seventh and final round of the 2022 Monster Energy Points Race Series on Sunday at Cow Town Raceway Park.
Power Puff Girls
Billie Pangelinan made sure that she ended the season with a bang as she kept her perfect streak going in the Power Puff Girls class.
Pangelinan has yet to be bested as her skillset on the track remains unmatched. Her ability to make tight turns and land jumps without breaking momentum allowed her to finish first in both heats to secure the overall top seat with a total of 50 points.
Nanako Celis was the only rider able to keep up with Pangelinan, but she had to settle for second place in both heats as well as in the overall standings with a total of 44 points. In third place was Shaniah Alvarez with 40 points while Miyako Celis was fourth with 36 points.
Mini II
Pangelinan also competed in the Mini II class, but she failed to keep up during heat 2 and lost her chance to snag the top spot.
In heat 1, Pangelinan excelled as she maintained speed to finish first.
But in heat 2, Vicente Palacios took over with little to no errors to clinch first place. With a second-place finish of 22 points in heat 1, he gathered a total of 47 points to secure the top spot in round seven.
Pangelinan fell to third place in heat 2 but still had enough points to settle for overall second place with a total of 41 points. In third place was Leighton Palacios with 40 points.
Mini I
Another rider who continued to keep a streak going is Stanley Iakopo Jr. who notched another 50-point performance in the Mini I class to finish first. The other rider, Harley Susulin, claimed second place with 44 points.
Mini ATV
In the Mini ATV class, Franchesca Yumul claimed the overall top spot with 47 points, beating Anella Igitol who finished second with 43 points while Theresa Borja came in third with 42 points.
