(Press Release) — The highway railings along Carolinas Heights, Tinian, are freshly painted thanks to a joint effort among the Tinian Legislative Delegation, the Tinian Municipal Government, the Tinian Department of Public Works, the Commonwealth Bureau of Military Affairs, the 30th Naval Mobile Construction Battalion, and the U.S. Navy Task Force. The group, along with eight military volunteers, completed the Carolina Heights highway railings on July 29, 2022, improving the safety in the area by making the railings more visible to motorists, especially at night.
During the week of August 8, the group will work together on a beautification project at the Antonio M. Borja Amphitheater in San Jose, Tinian. The group will paint the amphitheater’s curbs, parking lot, and railings.
The 30th Naval Mobile Construction Battalion and the U.S. Navy Task Force are currently on Tinian for exercises and have committed to completing community projects while on the island.
The Governor’s Council of Economic Advisers extends a Si Yu’us Ma’åse’ and Ghilisow to the Tinian Delegation, the Tinian Municipality, the Tinian Department of Public Works, the Commonwealth Bureau of Military Affairs, the 30th Naval Mobile Construction Battalion, and the U.S. Navy Task Force for making Saipan safer and more beautiful for all residents.
