Momma Charu snaps Man Amigos’ win streak

MOMMA Charu showed that the Man Amigos are not unbeatable in the 2022 Budweiser Belau Amateur Softball League.

In their match Sunday at the Dandan baseball field, Momma Charu allowed only one hit in the first two innings and seized the lead in the bottom of the second thanks to Chavo Palacios’s single that brought in JJ Laniyo for an RBI.

In the top of the third, the Man Amigos’s Fuji Suel bagged a solo homerun which was followed by another solo homerun in the top of the fourth courtesy of team mate Eric Palacios as their team snatched the lead, 2-1

But Momma Charu managed to equalize in the bottom of the fourth inning after Chavo Palacios connected a two-run homer and Kalle Igisomar notched an RBI single to regain the lead, 4-2.

The battle for control continued as the Man Amigos squeezed in two more runs in the top of the fifth inning while adding one more in the top of the sixth to take the lead once again, 5-4.

But Momma Charu never gave up the fight and were rewarded with two runs and the lead, 6-5.

The Man Amigos had a chance to win it all, but they were quickly handed the three outs needed for Momma Charu to lock in the upset victory and hand the Man Amigos their first loss of the season.
