Patrol Division Chief Ismael Aguon said that a 45-year-old man stabbed the victim at the left side of the chest.
The suspect was picked up for questioning later by the police.
Aguon said that the incident was reported to the police on Monday, November 10 at 8:40 p.m.
An unidentified caller reported a stabbing incident at a residence in Meyuns, Koror.
Police responded to the scene and transported the victim to the hospital.
Bureau of Public Safety Director Norvert H. Yano in a separate interview said that the victim underwent surgery and is now declared out of danger by the attending doctor.
Yano said the victim was seriously wounded and was unconscious while he was being transported to the hospital.
Yano said initial investigation disclosed that the victim and the suspect were engaged in argument that led to the stabbing incident.
The incident is now under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division.
