The Pacific Xtreme Combat and BJT Entertainment are now looking for amateur warriors on Saipan to participate in their Preba Hao on Jan 3, Trench Tech promoter, Cuki Alvarez announced yesterday.
The PXC has been around for years since mixed martial arts became a popular sport among Pacific Islanders, and continuously serves as screening fights for aspiring cage fighters.
Preba Hao is Guam’s counterpart of Saipan’s Rites of Passage which is now in its sixth scheduled matches and has become an added excitement among sports aficionado on the island.
“As most of you know, this is a volunteer participation only and fighters will not receive a talent fee,” Alvarez said in an email yesterday.
However, should fighters prove themselves, they may be invited to fight in the PXC where they can be rewarded good money.
The BJT Entertainment, Alvarez said will take care of airfare and hotel accommodations for the fighters and corner men.
Those interested can call Alvarez at 483-4MMA for more details.
