Representatives of the U.S. Army’s 9th Mission Support Command in Hawaii have been on island since Monday to produce the IDs.
Army Reserve rear detachment officer and installation commander Maj. Greg Sablan Jr. is calling on active duty personnel and their family members to come and get their IDs.
The Army Reserve Center in Puerto Rico, he added, will also be open on Saturday, from 8 a.m., to 12 noon.
Sablan said those who received their mobilization orders should get their active duty cards which expire in 12 months.
He said those who will be deployed should get their IDs now.
Those who have already been deployed can get their IDs through their family members.
Active duty ID cards will entitle servicemembers and their dependents to avail of medical, dental and life insurance benefits.
Sablan said while the card-making equipment is on island, veterans and their family members can also get their IDs updated.
