A complaint filed in Superior Court accused Henry Ernie U. Hofschneider of beating, striking and wounding Juanita M. Mendiola.
Chief Prosecutor Kevin Lynch is handling the case.

In related news, a 32-year-old woman from China was summoned to appear in court at 9 a.m. on Dec. 29 in connection with the loitering charge against her.
Authorities arrested her in Garapan after probable cause was established that she “did unlawfully and willfully attempt to stop or detain a person by physically touching or grabbing them to lure, entice or solicit them for commercial gain.”
The CNMI government passed the anti-loitering law in 2005 to curb prostitution and other illegal activities in areas frequented by tourists.
