In the Budweiser King and Queen of the Lanes, Gigi Zapanta and Simon Manacop came regained their crown after three months of hibernation in the lower grounds in recent bowling tournaments.
Zapanta who topped last month’s tournament with 654 points was just seven pins shorter this time but buried his tough competitor, Marion Mckenzie deeper into third place.
McKenzie almost beat Zapanta last month, as he went less than 20 points away.
Trailing Zapanta with a narrow gap last Saturday was Leanne Yarobwemal who consistently topped the first three games.
Zapanta who was way behind her managed to bounce back in Game 4 with 193 points against Yarobwemal’s 148.
This month’s prince of the lane eked out 647 points to average 161.75.
Yarebwemal scored 643 with an average of 160.75.
McKenzie was this time way behind with 534 points, settling for third place.
In Men’s Division, Manacop scored 203 in Game 1 went second with 212 in Game 2 and 223 in Game 3 but he rampaged in Game 4 to score a total of 861 against Dannie Robles with 822.
Gigi Zapanta almost consistently beat six other players to win the first place. Except in Game 2 where she scored 150 points to be behind Elena Soll, this month’s winner, scored high through out the games to score a total of 653.
Gloria Omechelang with 637 placed second and Soll, 629, third.
