Bureau of Public Safety Patrol Division chief Ismael Aguon said that the driver attempted to escape after hitting a vehicle but was stopped by the victim from fleeing.
Aguon said the incident happened on December 18 and was reported to the police at 1:40 am at the Mokko area in Koror.The driver of the vehicle two called police and reported that his vehicle was hit and that the driver attempted to flee from the scene.Police responded and found out later that the suspect’s vehicle was backing up when it collided to the victim’s vehicle.Police found out that the driver of the vehicle one was under the influence of alcohol.The driver went through a DUI test and failed.He was cited for DUI and reckless driving.
