“We will relocate to the Capitol as soon as possible,” Toribiong said.
Toribiong said by relocating to the Capitol in Melekeok the government will cut down its expenses.He said that holding two offices, one in Koror and Melekeok is not practical.He said that he will study though other offices which will need to hold another office in Koror.Toribiong said this issue is being worked out by the transition committee and the moving of offices to the Capitol will not be immediate as far as other offices are concerned.Toribiong said that holding office in the Capitol will gain him more accessibility to the states.“I want to be close to the people in the states,” he said.He said the other branches of the government such as the judiciary has the option to keep their offices here.
