Associate Judge Kenneth L. Govendo said Jiangying Liu should report to the court on Feb. 12 at 2 p.m. and show cause why she should not be deported from the CNMI.
Govendo ordered Liu to appear for all scheduled court hearings, to return to court whenever required to do so, surrender all travel documents, not leave Saipan without court permission, and stay away from airports and seaports.
She must also stay away from karaoke shops and submit a sketch of her residence as well as contact numbers where she can be located by the court.
She must also call the Attorney General’s Investigative unit once a day.
In his affidavit, Immigration investigator Nicolas T. Reyes stated that on Feb, 4, 2009, the Department of Labor, the AGIU and the Division of Immigration Investigation Division conducted a compliance inspection at the business establishment of Han Xiong Development Corp., which is doing business as DVD Porn Shop and Karaoke in western Garapan.
Reyes said the respondent did not have any identification to verify her immigration status, and told him that her permit had expired seven months ago.
The respondent only produced a photo copy of her passport.
Reyes said the respondent was issued a non-resident worker’s entry permit which expired on July 31, 2008.
She did not file any labor complaint or claims of unpaid wages with the Department of Labor. She has no pending agency case.
Reyes said the respondent did not file for any temporary work authorization and did not register for any employment opportunity with Labor’s employment section.
Neither did she file a nonresident worker’s application for consensual transfer.
