Dionicio Borja, 43, appeared in the Tinian courthouse for a change of plea hearing on Feb. 13 with his counsel Joey P. San Nicolas. Chief Prosecutor Kevin A. Lynch represented the government.
Borja waived his rights and entered a guilty plea to the offense of disturbing the peace
Associate David A. Wiseman also imposed a six-month supervised probation on the defendant.
The judge ordered the defendant to have no contact with the victim, and report to the Office of Adult Probation as directed.
He will pay a fine of $100 within four months, an assessment fee of $25, and a probation fee in an amount that will be assessed by the Office of Adult Probation.
He must obey all CNMI and federal laws.
Wiseman set the review hearing for July 10 in the Tinian courthouse.
The Attorney General’s Office earlier charged Borja with one count for assault and battery and one count for disturbing the peace for making threatening statements and gestures to Narul Amin on July 31, 2008.
According to a police affidavit, Borja came to the victim’s workplace and harassed him.
Borja threatened the victim and pushed his head.
