Department of Public Safety spokeswoman Lei Ogumoro said the incident happened at around 8:06 p.m. in front of H-Mart.
The red scooter operated by 37-year-old Yun Zhe Nan stopped on the southbound inner lane, intending to turn left to H-Mart when the Ford pick-up operated by Willard B. Dison hit the scooter from behind.

Shunji Yang suffered laceration at the back of her head and on her spleen. She also sustained abrasions on her forehead, right hand and both knees.
The scooter was extensively damaged.
Dison suffered no injuries and his pick-up only sustained moderate damage.
