Beverly Ngirmekur did not score a run but led Proas in the winning rally against CUC with her two run-scoring single hits in the bottom of fourth and final inning.
Short stopper Joyce Taro and first base woman Kuki Pangelinan launched an early tight defense holding CUC scoreless in the three straight innings.
Taro kept her defensive stance frustrating two consecutive single hit attempts by CUC’s Anabelle Magofna and Evelyn Kani.
Feliza Brel did not have a strike out but with the Proa fielders’ tight defense she allowed only one run and gave up 11 hits.
Proa’s Pangelinan doubled Taro, Edwina Baulechong tripled her and Ngirmekur singled Brel home.
Tracy Uchau added one RBI.

In a bid to survive, Lefty Shiro and Ben Higgens walloped run-scoring triple hits as they lead Commonwealth Health Center rampaged in the bottom of first and second inning handing Joeten Motor Jets its fifth loss during the game in men’s division.
Tom Ito also hit a run-scoring triple as Shiro drove-in John Duenas with a go-ahead single to secure the lead.
Shiro finished with three RBIs while Higgens had two RBIs.
CPA 12, CUC 9
Byron Kaipat hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the first inning for an early lead and Ken Taitingfong followed it up with a solo home run as they lift Commonwealth Ports Authority past CUC for a 12-9 victory.
Kaipat continued lambasting CUC with a run-scoring single hit in the third inning before he sent Mel Manahane home with sacrifice fly.
Pete Borja drove-in two runs with his single hit.
Kaipat finished with five RBIs, Manahane two and Borja two.
Taitingfong and Bill Camacho added one RBI each.
