Man in forgery case denies charges

Yvonnovitch Termeteet also known as Evan Termeteet appeared on March 11 with Assistant Public Defender Jason Shaw for arraignment and bail hearing.

Assistant Attorney General Anthony De Ruiz appeared on behalf of the government.Termeteet was released from custody after posting $100 last week.Termeteet was charged on March 2 for stealing other people’s check.A police affidavit stated that the owner of the check reported a larceny incident on September 19, 2008.The owner reported that someone stole her check book and cell phone.The affidavit further stated that personnel of the Mobil gas station also called police on September 19 and reported that they received a stolen check.The court document stated that Termeteet tried to negotiate a signed check in the name of other person when he purchased a gas worth $10.When the personnel refused to accept the check as payment of the gas, Termeteet left the area without paying the gas.
