Manta Ray Battalion cadets assist in SSHS graduation ceremony

SAIPAN Southern High School’s Manta Ray Battalion cadets assisted in conducting road guard detail for the Saipan Southern High School graduation ceremony that took place at SSHS’s main campus on May 19, 2022, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Every year, different groups of volunteer cadets assist in road guard detail for their school’s graduating seniors.

Cadets are briefed on how to direct vehicles to their destined positions days before the graduation ceremony take place.

All cadets were then stationed into separate groups, to be in charge of certain parking areas on the campus.

The cadets provided directions to the vehicles on the day of the ceremony while ensuring that all safety measures were observed.

As always, this year’s participating cadets were well motivated.

During the Saipan Southern High School graduation ceremony from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., the Manta Ray Battalion’s Color Guard took part in the ceremony to present, post, and retire the colors. The ceremony took place at the school’s main stage.

The commencement ceremony celebrated the graduating seniors after a challenging and difficult year.

Their high school days have finally come to an end, and they are now entering a brand new chapter in their lives. Congratulations to the Class of 2022!

The SSHS Color Guard team was commanded by C/MSG Ericson Faustino, who held the U.S flag. He was accompanied by his left guard C/SFC Jaren Lifoifoi, his right guard C/SGT Leanndray Sanchez, and finally, C/SFC Sean Villaluz who held the CNMI flag.
