Japan group to donate cattle medicine

Toshio Nakata, President of the Tomoe Dairy processing Co. Ltd, in Koga City, Ibaragi Prefecture, Japan and Rotary Club Koga East Group will be handing over the donation to President Johnson Toribiong on March 7 at the Palau Pacific Resort lobby.

Nakata previously organized the donation of 22 cattle to Ngiwal Livestock Association (NLA) last year.

The donation as funded by the Japan Livestock Technology Association.

Presently one Japanese trainer lives in Ngiwal and is training its members.

The association has also dispatched several specialists for cattle feeding for the association to train them, each of the specialists stayed about a month and worked together with them.

As a result of the training, the association hopes to have their first newborn calf this summer.

The medicine’s beneficiary this time is the State of Ngiwal.

During the visit, Nakata and the 22 guests from Japan including seven members of the Rotary Club will also pay a courtesy call to Toribiong.

The amount of antibiotics donation is $3,000.

The group will also visit the Rock Island and Babeldaob.
