According to Detective Lt. Aloysius Alonz, a 21-year-old man who works in an auto repair shop was served with a warrant of arrest yesterday morning for the assault.
Lt. Alonz said the man is now in custody and is scheduled to appear in court for arraignment.The man was arrested for assaulting a Nepalese national co- worker with a machete early Sunday morning at their work area in Medalaii.The victim who works as a gas station attendant was transported to the hospital for treatment and was discharged soon after.In other news, a 25-year-old man was also arrested for disturbing the peace, Tuesday morning.Patrol Division Chief Ismael Aguon said that Rush Tatsuo was arrested on February 24 for causing a disturbance at a residence in Ikesiil.Aguon said that according to a caller, Tatsuo was drunk at that time.Aguon added that on February 21 at 1 am, Charlie Adelbai was arrested for assault and battery.Adelbai attempted to strike another person with a hard object.Aguon said a disturbance in Madelaii caused by Adelbai was reported to the police.Police responded to the report and after an investigation arrested Adelbai.On February 20 at 10:58 pm, a disturbance and assault and battery was also reported to the police.A woman called and reported that Troy Ngiraikelau, 38, was bothering her at her residence in Ngermid.Police responded and arrested Ngiraikelau accordingly.
