“The public forum on tourism will give an overview about the tourism industry in Palau, current issues and future outlook.
The public forum is a joint collaboration by the Office of the President, Palau Visitors Authority, Belau Tourism Association and Palau Chamber of Commerce.The forum will be attended by President Johnson Toribiong who will give special remarks.During the forum, laws involving tourism will be discussed.The forum will also discuss the proposed measure which will create a single visa fee that will consolidate entry permit fees, environmental protection fees, and taxes levied on arrival and departure from the republic.Another measure that will be discussed is the proposed measure will consolidate matters relating to tourism to the new Ministry of Natural Resources, Environment and Tourism.During the forum the Palau Chamber of Commerce will also make a Tourism Action Plan presentation.
